Yes it works in 2012.02.17!
All comments are now visible in all Index Items
Great thanks!
Just to complete this subject:
I could still use my own custom comment templates in the webcontrols.
The only thing I needed to add (after updating to 2012.02.17) is the new parameter in first line of the comment.htm file
Desktopmodules>Webcontrols>Templates> myTemplate > comment.htm
[SETTINGS:AutoGrowTextbox=True,Pagesize=20,MostRecent=10,SupportAjax=False,ModuleSpecific=False] View More...

Users can now select Bing, as well as Google, for the map provider.
-
Fixed issue where special characters were being corrupted when editing an item.
-
Additionally, editing items directed to a malformed URL in some cases.
-
Fixed issue with forum posts. Replies would become orphaned if the post that the reply was made in reference to is deleted.
Messaging
- There is an issue with the subscription information not saving. This release fixes the problem, but only if Use Hosted jQuery Version is disabled in the Host Settings. This is due to the popup dialog not working properly with the latest version of jQuery/jQueryUI.

Knowledge Base: Re: Comments not shown in index item
|
|

We have updated our testsite to 2012.02.06 but the problem remains the same.
It seems that the displayed comments are linked to the index item they are written in.
It does show the correct total number of comments when using the [COMMENTCOUNT] token but the [COMMENT:EventList] token then only shows the comments that are written in the index item that is currently displaying the article.
With our 4 Index Items we can have 4 separate lists of comments on one article which is nice, but not how we want it :-D

Knowledge Base: Configuring Layout... Templates?
|
|
2/5/2012 8:32:11 AM test
|
I have installed all the modules on my DNN site, and I like what I see so far. But I am having trouble understanding how to configure everything. I placed the profile search module on a page and have it showing "my profile", but the layout is not as nice as this site's, and it doesn't show things like who my friends are etc.
How do I make the profile page look like this site's? Is there a template I can upload somewhere?
Also, I can make someone a friend, but it doesn't do a friend request pending approval. How do I change that?
thanks View More...

Knowledge Base: Comments not shown in index item
|
|
1/31/2012 8:28:57 AM test
|
We have a problem that comments are not shown below the news article in some index items.
Example not showing the comment:
http://www.hetgoedeleven.com/Geloven/GelovenColumnsDetail/tabid/269/IndexID/66286/Default.aspx
Same article showing the comment:
http://www.hetgoedeleven.com/Geloven/GelovenColumnsDetail/tabid/243/IndexID/66286/Default.aspx
Both index Items have the same token in the template:
Is there any way to display the comments of a single article in every index item that displays the article?
We have 4 index items showing articles based on (the search directories of) their categories.
Any help is appreciated.
PS I found out an Index Item only shows the comments that are written in that particular index item.
When an article is shown in two different Index Items they only display 'their own' comments.
Is there any way of changing this behaviour? Or is this a bug? (it's not a bug, it's a feature :-) ) View More...
